Carol Shockley is an amazing mosaic artist and also Dr Z’s mom. After doing the family Christmas lunch thing with my parents and grandparents yesterday, I ventured east of Atlanta to Stone Mountain to spend time with Russ, Zachary and Carol.
Carol is quite possibly the coolest mom I have ever met. She’s warm and welcoming, opening her home to both rescue dachshunds and neighbors in need of a place where they can just “be”.
This holiday season I am thankful to have some genuinely amazing people in my life.
